Karma is that inherent ingredient of cosmic life that facilitates movement of life from one manifestation to another, body after body. The residual balance of karma at the time of death becomes opening balance for next manifestation. Based on residual balance of karma of previous life, a soul atman manifests the new form!
If the residual balance of karma from previous manifestations was positive… one experienced happiness most of time! What if the residual balance of karma was negative… one suffered most of time!
