Karma yoga demands that we do unto others what we expect others to do unto us. On path of karma yoga there was no scope for practicing negativity. One all the time worked for welfare of mankind. Working for individual self alone does not constitute indulgence in karma yoga. The scope of karma yoga was large enough to encapsulate entire mother earth. Not only mankind, a true Karma Yogi all the time worked for welfare of all living beings including human beings.
JRD Tata, erstwhile scion of Tata Empire (man of steel) was one such Karma Yogi. Not for a single moment in life JRD Tata worked for individual self, money or wealth alone. His goal of life, his primary principle of life was welfare of entire mankind. Very rarely a Karma Yogi like JRD Tata manifests on mother earth. Even though JRD had no direct knowledge of Bhagavad Gita but in real life he always practiced Bhagavad Gita in toto.
JRD Tata always worked like a trustee, an instrument in hands of God Almighty… a caretaker of Tata Empire.
