Spiritual enlightenment could never be gained via external stimulation. One needs indulgence in path of jnana yoga to assimilate hidden underlying principles of spirituality contained in sacred texts of different religions of world. Negating karma to zero was mandated and so was overpowering five senses and mind. Practice of absolute celibacy for 12 years was a necessity. 100% faith in God was an absolute must. We must be 100% truthful to walk path of spirituality. Only then we could subdue our ego in totality to reach our true inner self existing in our heart as our consciousness, spirit within.
