The human body was manifested by our soul atman. Can the manifest physical body exist of its own! In absence of a soul atman it would just decay and die. Similar as sun rays could never lose sun from where they originate, presence of soul atman could not be negated from body. It is presence of ego that makes us feel body is the master and not the soul atman. In reality our true self, the real master and controller existed in our heart as our soul atman.
When death occurs the physical body is not worth a few dollars. The released soul atman manifests a new body to start new cycle of life.
