Realization of our true inner self, our soul atman existing in our heart becomes possible traveling path of spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads (independent treatises). To realize our true self existing in our heart, we have to become 100% truthful. We also need 100% faith in existence of God. Indulging in contemplation, logical reasoning… introspection we could reach the hidden underlying truths contained in scriptures of different religions of world.
We also need indulgence in nishkama karma yoga, to work for welfare of mankind all the time. Our practicing absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation was necessitated for full awakening of kundalini shakti, the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine. If we could do all these, we were competent to travel spiritual path to realize God in present life.
There was never a shortcut on path to self realization, god realization!
