As the Tree of Dharma grew further It Developed its First Branch and Mahavira was Born

From times immemorial existed “Dharma” … “Your right to do what is just and right and not what was destined”. Various sages and saints in erstwhile Bharatvarsha (now India) termed it Sanatana Dharma, something that existed from times immemorial. Eventually Sanatana Dharma came to be termed as Hinduism, a word coined by invaders from West who called people living East of Indus as Hindus.

The four Vedas were the first spiritual texts invoked by mankind directly from God Almighty. They were the initial pivots of Hinduism (Sanatana Dharma).

As the tree of Dharma grew further, it developed its first branch and Mahavira was born. Whatever we know as Jainism came into being. During times of initial 23 Tirthankaras of Jainism (preceptors), the jnana (wisdom) remained confined to the individual self. It was only Mahavira who spread jnana all over the world community of those times.

As the tree of Dharma grew further, 77 years after coming of Mahavira grew another branch and Siddhartha Gautama was born and Buddhism came into being. About 423 years later the tree of Dharma developed another branch, Jesus was born and Christianity came into being. A few centuries later another branch and Prophet Mohammed came into being and Islamic Dharma spread worldwide.
