If we believed in existence of God, we also must believe in presence of souls atmans. No soul atman could manifest form after another (cleanse itself of dross impurities within) in absence of reincarnation, rebirth. The precept of reincarnation was an absolute fact of cosmic life. For souls atmans to evolve further… reincarnation, rebirth was an absolute must.
As detailed in Bhagavad Gita, we were primarily a soul atman. To work out our karma, we as a soul atman need manifesting form after another. After death of present body on mother earth, we as a soul atman manifest another body to start new cycle of life. Only if matching parents were not available on mother earth, the soul atman hibernated in heaven or hell. Sooner matching parents become available, the hibernating soul atman immediately manifests a new body, reincarnates to start a new cycle of life.
