Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita says all prayers offered to various gods and goddesses (various attributes of God Almighty) ultimately get addressed to God (Brahman) himself. As medium of prayers was never one-sided, if we desire something from God we ought to give something in return.
God answers those prayers that catered to welfare of entire mankind, never the individual self alone! From six years of age not a single prayer of mine went unanswered. The reason was apparent! I pursued path of spirituality all the time. Welfare of entire mankind was my motto. I never asked God anything for my individual self, not even once!
I always used to think, human form was the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle! We just could not become a beggar in eyes of God. When everything in cosmic system was based on karma, I indulged in good karma, positive karma most of time to improve life, manifest destiny!
