Initially came, tree of Dharma that developed a strong footing with advent of Lord Krishna (an avatar of his era) who succeeds in re-establishing Dharma (righteousness). This tree of Dharma developed its first branch and came, Mahavira (24th Tirthankara of Jainism). Few years later another branch and advent Siddhartha Gautama! Still another branch; came Jesus Christ and a few centuries later followed Prophet Mohammed.
The tree of Dharma developed many branches becoming a full blown tree. All the branches of the tree and the stem lived harmoniously. There never was a reason to fight each other. However whenever there was a storm or breeze, all the branches and leaves made a lot of noise. People of one religion often fought with followers of other religion. Despite all, the stem (Sanatana Dharma, Hinduism) grew in strength.
