Between the inner voice and us existed, our ego. Remaining truthful all the time we could distinctly hear the sweet small promptings of inner voice coming from within. A bloated ego needs to be subdued before we could hear the inner voice of our soul atman. At any given moment of time either our ego or inner voice was active. Fear, rejection, failure, lust… fatal attraction were never obstructions to hearing inner voice!
