There were two aspects to human life… the physical form and the subtle in form of consciousness, soul atman existing within our heart.
Remaining physical we could never understand domain of God Almighty. To understand anything relating to God… our diving deep into the bottomless pit of jnana (wisdom) contained in scriptures of different religions of world was necessitated.
As precepts of jnana (wisdom) could not be understood literally, our traveling path of spirituality was necessitated. For a commoner, one from masses… unless we dwelt in path of spirituality, everything that was spiritual was beyond our perception.
The moment we indulged in introspection, self enquiry… path of spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads… everything relating to God became crystal clear. So much so that for an enlightened one communion with God Almighty on one-to-one basis every single moment of life becomes an absolute reality.
Bookish, literal knowledge is meant for earning our daily bread and butter. Spiritual wisdom carries us forward towards God Almighty.
