Experiencing spiritual enlightenment was not that easy. However, when it comes… one finally comes face-to-face with God Almighty! Veil of illusion removed forever… we finally as a soul atman gained absolute purity forever! If we analyze the requisites for reaching stage of spiritual enlightenment… we find the following were extremely necessary:
1. Following path of absolute truthfulness always and ever. Unless we were truthful in life… we could never hear the sweet small inner voice of our soul atman that always guided us right path! Right from six years of age, I have been guided by the voice of my soul atman.
2. Following path of nishkama karma yoga as detailed in Bhagavad Gita of Hinduism! Spiritual enlightenment can only be gained when we burnt our karma to zero! Negation of dross impurities within our soul atman… is what enlightenment all about! Nishkama karma yoga simply means… indulging in karma but offering fruits of karma performed to God Almighty all the time. We need establishing absolute control over five senses and mind. This becomes possible by indulging in karma… nishkama karma way of life!
3. In present times none could reach God (stage of enlightenment) via path of bhakti yoga (path of religion). Our indulgence in path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom) was necessitated for understanding precepts of spirituality contained in various scriptures of different religions of world. Path of bhakti demands total surrender to God Almighty… which in present times of strife, tribulation was not possible!
4. Enlightenment also demands our indulgence in path of contemplation… path of self enquiry, path of logical reasoning. Why so? Nothing in scriptures could be understood literally! To understand the hidden underlying precepts of spirituality… contemplation was the only way out! Maharishi Ramana is considered the master of path of self enquiry. Spirituality demands unveiling from within!
5. Practice of absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation was mandated by God to reach stage of spiritual enlightenment! Full kundalini awakening, the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine… can be realized only by 12 years practice of absolute celibacy. Practice of celibacy was not a physical concept. Stopping the flow of negative thoughts to our brain in totality is what absolute celibacy all about.
6. We also need hundred percent faith in God Almighty to reach stage of spiritual enlightenment. In absence of total faith in God Almighty… whatever was contained in scriptures never becomes clear to us! To reach stage of enlightenment… our belief in existence of God Almighty was an absolute must! The concept of God Almighty was not an illusion… a man-made theory! It is only when God Almighty (Brahman in Hinduism) exploded self with a big bang… the present cosmos formed (Brahman in Hinduism)!
In the last about 150 years amongst 7 billion people existing world over… only Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana finally succeeded in reaching stage of enlightenment! Read more on enlightenment
