All enlightened ones used their brain 100% compared to normal human beings who used their brain only 1 to 2%, the remaining always lying dormant. For an enlightened one it was easy to know other enlightened ones existing on mother earth. Even without interacting one could telepathically know everything. Enlightenment means becoming a pure soul atman forever. As a pure soul atman, one could interact with other souls’ atmans through medium of telepathy.
Enlightenment was not that easily gained. Imagine if 50 Gautama Buddha came simultaneously, it would be chaos world over whom to worship or not. As ordained by God maximum one or two human beings succeed in reaching stage of enlightenment in a period of 100 to 200 years. In the last about 150 years only Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana finally succeeded in gaining enlightenment.
Having become a pure soul atman the need for an enlightened one to get in touch with another enlightened one did not exist. So was not ordained by God Almighty. Mahavira and Gautama Buddha were contemporaries but never met in their lifetime. Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana were contemporaries but never met in their lifetime.
