A soul atman manifests 1.1 million bodies in human form before it reaches stage of absolute purity. A journey of 1.1 million manifestations is a long journey indeed! If human beings do not take extra effort, life was predestined. Based on residual balance of karma at the time of death life would move ahead from one manifestation to another. But for people like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammed, Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana… life had to end.
In pursuit of hidden cosmic truths of life all these noble souls started their spiritual journey. Something that requires millions of manifestations, to achieve the same in a single lifespan of 70 to 80 years… something drastic was needed. All started practice of absolute celibacy that needs continuing for a minimum period of 12 years. Taking the normal route was like climbing Empire State building via steps. Taking the fastest elevator means practicing 12 years of absolute celibacy with sincerity.
By practicing absolute celibacy, by having a definite goal in life we could channelize all our energies behind that single goal of life. Something that was predestined was under our control in totality. We finally become master and controller of life. Practice of absolute celibacy for a minimum period of 12 years in continuation helps in full awakening of kundalini shakti, the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine. One finally reaches stage of enlightenment forever.
