No matter how best we try, it was just not possible to read our way into spiritual enlightenment! The reason was apparent… nothing in Bhagavad Gita or different scriptures of various religions of world could be understood literally. All scriptures demand reading in between the lines, we need reaching the hidden underlying meaning through path of contemplation, introspection… logical reasoning!
I receive many queries from world over that they had read Bhagavad Gita several times but nothing was clear. To understand Bhagavad Gita and other scriptures our indulgence in jnana yoga (absolute wisdom) was necessitated. We could indulge in jnana yoga only through path of contemplation, never otherwise! It is only through path of jnana yoga we cut shackles of karma forever.
Indulgence in contemplation was the biggest obstacle for mankind, prime reason why most indulged in religious practices than path of spirituality which demands indulgence in contemplation!
