In the present Kali Yuga… Dark Age, metal age enlightenment was difficult to achieve but not impossible. Scriptures of Hinduism say stage of enlightenment is reached by a human being when karma negates to zero forever. In absence of dross impurity within, the need for a pure soul atman to manifest another body ceases to exist. Truly enlightenment was not that easy to achieve. In the last about 150 years amongst 7 billion people existing world over only two spiritual stalwarts Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana finally succeeded in reaching stage of enlightenment via path of jnana yoga, path of absolute wisdom. Enlightenment can only be reached by indulgence in Bhagavad Gita, the foremost of all sacred scriptures existing on mother earth. Those who think otherwise were mistaken, ignorants of spiritual path.
The moment an enlightened one left mortal frame, one reaches stage of moksha salvation. The liberated soul atman finally enters abode of God, kingdom of God (Vaikuntha in Hinduism), a point of no return.
Reaching stage of moksha salvation is the end goal of human life, rather every living form on mother earth. Right from first manifestation as an amoeba, the desire of soul atman always remains regaining its lost original pure prime pristine primordial form at the earliest. This becomes possible when souls atmans manifest human form. Stage of enlightenment cannot be reached in lower forms of life. Human form is the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle. It is only in human form our soul atman finally liberated self from cycle of birth and death forever. In present times almost all human beings world over preferred travelling path of religion (path of rituals) that never leads to God Almighty! Path of spirituality demands highest level of patience, persistence and perseverance that could ever be practiced by human beings.
Difficult to travel but not impossible! Only a very ardent traveler of spiritual path like Swami Vivekananda finally succeeds in clearing all hurdles of spiritual journey to reach God in present life. It is a different matter that Swami Vivekananda did not prefer gaining enlightenment in his lifetime. His goal of life was different.
Right from six years of age I desired seeking God. By 13 my simple desire wish turned to firm conviction… come whatever may, in this very life I shall see and meet God. 25 years of yoga meditation I finally reached portals of God Almighty in the wee hours of third of August 1993 at 37 years of age. This is my last manifestation on mother earth, 8.4 millionth manifestation. Moment I leave my mortal frame I shall attain salvation moksha forever. Amongst hordes of sacred texts of Hinduism, the 700 shlokas verses contained in Bhagavad Gita sufficed in present times to reach God. The teachings contained in Bhagavad Gita were universal in nature. Any human being world over, belonging to any religion faith or belief can ceremoniously indulge in teachings of Bhagavad Gita to reach God in present life. For learning intricacies of spiritual path one need not convert to Hinduism ever.
In present times one could not reach stage of enlightenment via path of karma yoga or bhakti yoga alone. Our travelling path of jnana yoga (absolute wisdom) was necessitated to unveil hidden underlying cosmic truths contained in Bhagavad Gita. Furthermore our indulgence in karma, nishkama karma way of life was mandated. 12 years practice of absolute celibacy was another requirement. Not a single lapse was permitted. Sage Vishwamitra, a highly accomplished sage of his era on sighting a maiden woman taking bath in forlorn circumstances in deep dense jungles (forests) fell from grace, he had to repeat practice of celibacy all over again. 12 years practice of absolute celibacy was necessitated for full awakening of kundalini shakti, the coiled Serpentine energy lying dormant in base of spine. The moment our kundalini awakening fully, Sahasra Pushpa (thousand petalled Lotus) existing in our brain behind forehead opened fully! One immediately becomes an enlightened one… a bodhi, a Jina… a Mahavira forever.
Hinduism scriptures emphatically say… as many human beings as many different paths to God Almighty can there be. The gist of sacred scriptures could never be understood literally, they demand reading in between the lines. Read more on Enlightenment
