As willed by God human beings were endowed with free will to choose our goal of life. From beginning of life we were totally free to choose path of our making. We could lead a religious life or spiritual. Religious practices never led human beings to God Almighty. God (Brahman in Hinduism) can only be reached practicing spirituality as detailed in Bhagavad Gita.
Every single child must be imparted merits of both religious practices and path of spirituality. Rest is up to the child to choose ones path.
Under no circumstances spirituality can be taught to one. Nothing in spirituality could be understood literally… we need traveling path of contemplation, introspection… logical reasoning to understand hidden underlying cosmic truths of life contained in scriptures of different religions of world.
