God does not play a direct role in lives of human beings. As we were primarily a spiritual being, a spirit manifesting human form… it is we who desire emancipating from cycle of birth and death at the earliest. We as a soul atman, the consciousness within were part of God Almighty. If an individual grain of sand is an independent soul atman, the whole mound God Almighty.
The cosmic goal of every single human being on mother earth was fixed from beginning of life… realize self, realize God at the earliest. Only then a soul atman devoid of dross impurities within reaches stage of absolute purity. Gaining enlightenment is the end goal of human journey. Mahavira did it and so did Gautama Buddha. Jesus Christ did it and so did Prophet Mohammed.
Going to heaven could never be a goal. The theory of going to heaven was developed by religious preachers of different times only to earn their livelihood. Heaven (swarga in Hinduism) existed in core of sun where temperatures exceed millions of degrees centigrade. It is in such high temperatures our soul atman felt comfortable. Heaven was a place for soul atman to hibernate when matching parents were not available on mother earth. After death of human form our soul atman immediately manifests a new form to start new journey of life. If matching parents are not available then soul atman hibernates in heaven or hell. In heaven, if the residual balance of karma at the time of death was positive and hell if negative!
The goal of life never belongs to a religion or God. The goal of life always belonged to living beings, life on mother earth of which human form was the highest manifest stage in cosmic life cycle. It was only in human form one reaches stage of enlightenment, never lower forms of life.
