In Bhagavad Gita Lord Krishna explains how continuity of life was fundamental aspect of cosmic life. Lord Krishna also says we were primarily responsible for our karma… as we sow so shall we reap nothing less or more. If we desire manifesting a bright future, our indulgence in positive karma in present was necessitated. The concept of heaven and hell as detailed in mythology was simply a ruse by religious preachers to earn their living.

Both heaven and hell existed in sun. None could go to sun bodily. Both heaven and hell were places for souls’ atmans to hibernate if matching parents were not available on mother earth. After death of human body the soul atman immediately manifests a new body based on residual balance of karma at the time of death. Only if matching parents were not available on mother earth, souls’ atmans hibernated in heaven (swarga) if the residual balance of karma at the time of death was positive and hell (naraka), if negative. Heaven existed in core of sun where temperatures the exceeded millions of degrees centigrade. It was in such high temperatures our soul atman felt comfortable. Hell exists in periphery of sun where temperatures were considerably less. It was in such low temperatures our soul atman suffers for eternity.

Going to heaven or hell was not a matter of choice for human beings. Both heaven and hell never related to physical manifest form. No sooner matching parents become available on mother earth, the hibernating soul atman immediately manifests a new body to start new journey of life.
