Ever since brain of human beings evolved to a stage that it could invoke messages from God, various sages and saints of different era in erstwhile Bharatvarsha (now India) invoked words of God known as Vedas (Hinduism revelations). Along with Vedas developed Upanishads (independent treatises) which were independent commentaries, summaries, ideas primarily relating to Brahman in Hinduism.
More than 1000 years later came Lord Krishna who gave to mankind sermon of Bhagavad Gita. With coming of Bhagavad Gita, the teachings of Vedas and Upanishads reached masses. About thousand years later to coming of Lord Krishna came Mahavira (24th Tirthankara of Jainism, preceptor). The present-day teachings of Jainism owed its existence to teachings of Mahavira.
About 77 years later to Mahavira came Gautam Buddha and mankind got a new Dharma, religion… Buddhism! About 423 years later to Gautama Buddha came Jesus Christ and Christianity took roots. Whatever was invoked by Jesus Christ, whatever he gained from the teachings of Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads… the same became Bible, the primary teachings of Christianity.
A few centuries later to Jesus Christ came Prophet Mohammed and Islam Dharma took roots. The invocations from God Prophet Mohammed received on Mount of Hira, the teachings he gained from Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads were termed Quran. Both Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed gained most of their jnana wisdom from scriptures of Hinduism like Bhagavad Gita and Upanishads.
Nothing in this world could parallel teachings contained in Vedas (Hinduism revelations)… the first words of God Almighty on mother earth. As Vedas were voluminous documents, the teachings of Vedas percolated to mankind in form of Bhagavad Gita, the sermon given by Lord Krishna to mankind.
