Anyone enlightened can be accepted as a role model. In the last about 150 years amongst 7000 million people existing world over only Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana succeeded in reaching stage of enlightenment (kaivalya jnana). Half baked theories being preached to gullible mankind by so-called religious or spiritual teachers of present times does not mean anything.
Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana are no more. In absence of any enlightened one world over, we have to rely on teachings of these enlightened ones or subtle truths of life contained in scriptures of different religions of world. In absence of a spiritual master, guide in the journey of life, the teachings of Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita come to our rescue.
Following path of contemplation, logical reasoning we can unveil any hidden precepts of spirituality contained in scriptures. Path of spirituality is always travelled all alone. All man gods like Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ and Prophet Mohammed and Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa and Maharishi Ramana covered their spiritual journey all alone.
When Mahavira says one must not preach anything before becoming an enlightened one, why search for a guru or master who may know nothing about spirituality detailed in Bhagavad Gita.
We can have any role model in our life. For me Lord Krishna, Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ, Prophet Mohammed, Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa, Maharishi Ramana, Kabirdas etc. were all role models of spiritual life who had so much to give to humanity and that too free of all costs. In practical life JRD Tata… a Karma Yogi par excellence was my role model. All his life JRD Tata lived like a trustee, caretaker… custodian taking care of things that already belong to God Almighty.
For forming a definite goal in life and pursuing it with all eggs in one basket, Napoleon Hill the author of following two books – “Think and Grow Rich” and “Law of Success” was my role model.
