Would it ever be possible for human beings to see their soul?
Can the fragrance of a flower ever know where it emanates from? Can the inherent butter in milk ever realize entity of milk? Was it possible for a robot to see its master? If not, then human beings also cannot see a soul.
Our soul, the real self of us can only be realized, never seen. Becoming a seeker, traveler of spiritual path we can hope to realize soul one day. This can become a reality if we can duplicate path undertaken by Swami Vivekananda. We truly have to become a Swami Vivekananda in real life to realize presence of soul within.
Presence of soul cannot be realized indulging in rituals, religious practices!
Becoming a truthful person 100%, we could hear sweet small inner voice of soul coming from within our heart. For a spiritual traveler this was a common phenomena happening most of time. In our spiritual journey of life, in absence of a spiritual master… there was none to guide us other than soul atman within. We can really do it if we were 100% truthful all the time.
Our soul is so minute that all souls’ atmans in cosmos carried the size of half a thumb. This cosmic consciousness was beyond human comprehension. Indulging in spirituality as in Hinduism we could reach subtle hidden cosmic truths of life, realize entity of soul.
My tryst with my Soul (soul is called atman in Hinduism)
When six years of age I had a desire to see God! Not knowing what God or soul was all about, I started my indulgence in spirituality, the direct path to God. Remaining 100% truthful all the time, I could distinctly hear sweet small promptings of soul that seemed to guide me on right path all the time. I could so easily feel presence of soul within my heart.
In absence of a spiritual master, my soul became my guide in the spiritual journey of life. In the circumstances how could I negate presence of soul within my heart!
Lord Krishna in Bhagavad Gita all the time says we were primarily a soul, consciousness manifesting human body. As a human being we were not the master but the robot. But as a soul we manifest human body to cleanse self of dross impurities within. As a soul there was nothing more to see than God Almighty! Human form was but a medium, a body… nothing more!
Realizing this spiritual significance I continued my indulgence in Hindu spirituality, realizing self at the end of spiritual journey; finally becoming a pure soul atman forever. As a pure soul, liberated from cycle of birth and death forever I have nowhere further to go. The moment I leave my mortal frame, shall attain moksha salvation forever.
In my spiritual pursuit when I followed teachings of Adi Shankaracharya, I realized that other than souls’ atmans nothing existed in cosmos. Everything including human form was gaseous formation, clusters of atoms and molecules. Understanding doctrine of Maya (veil of illusion) as preached and propagated by Adi Shankaracharya, I could realize entity of soul atman within.
Knowing this cosmic truth of life helped me progress spiritually much faster. I finally realized that everything in cosmos was made up of basic building block of cosmos, clusters of atoms and molecules. Students of physics and metaphysics can better understand this intrinsic truth of life. Only when seen from external senses point of view, things appeared solid… in reality all was gaseous formation.
More than seeing a soul atman, our quest should be reaching stage of self realization, god realization when one finally becomes a pure soul atman forever. Only then we could realize that we were a soul and not the manifest physical body.
We are lucky to be born a human being as it is only in human form a soul atman can reach stage of absolute purity (in absence of dross impurities within). Human form is the highest stage in the cosmic evolutionary ladder. The most human beings could do on mother earth was become a Mahavira, Gautama Buddha, Jesus Christ or Prophet Mohammed… an enlightened one!
Human beings reaching stage of kaivalya jnana, enlightenment announces one becoming a pure soul atman; the cosmic journey finally ending forever.
