The fine thread that connects both enlightenment and insanity was like the center of a half filled glass. For a person with positive outlook the glass was half full, for a pessimist… half empty!
Most travelers of spiritual path quit their calling when in last stages of life. This happened with Acharya Rajneesh (née Osho). What if we quit boiling water at 99°C, there would not be any steam! Only if we had the patience to go only 1°C more! Not most but almost everyone quit much before 100°C, the temperature at which water boils and produces steam to power engine of spiritual life.
Those who quit at 98°C or 99°C or even lower become schizophrenic, insane or become patient of severe depression! Spirituality demands highest level of patience, persistence and perseverance that could ever be practiced by human beings. We must learn to emulate Swami Vivekananda, a mystic of the highest order… disciple saint of Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa!
